Dropship Simplified Review (Winston Goh Course)
Today, we’ll review not a course, but an eBook by Winston Goh. The video ad on Instagram is something you might have seen, and probably had a giggle after looking at Winston checking out his Shopify numbers inside a BMW; you know, like one does.
The caption of the ad was about making over $80,000 in just 11 days, and clicking on it took me to the eBook’s sales page on ClickFunnels.
According to the sales page, the eBook usually sells for $149, but it was available for $30 when I bought it. It did say that it was limited to the first 30 buyers, but I’m pretty sure it’s just a scarcity tactic.
It works as a blueprint, giving you the knowledge on how to setup your store, find products, and drive traffic to it with Facebook ads. I guess I can accept a single strategy for $30, but let’s see if it’s any good.
Who’s the author?
Finding out who’s Winston is quite difficult. I can tell you he’s quite young and seems to have begun his dropshipping venturing in 2016.
He claims to have put the knowledge gathered through several courses, webinars and communities into making 7 figures through sales with his dropshipping stores.
You can find out the most about him by visiting his Instagram, but he barely has more than 1,000 followers. You also get to see the typical screenshots from Shopify, his digital nomad lifestyle, and you can even see that BMW I mentioned here, so it’s probably his or a friend’s.
Reviewing Dropship Simplified
You have 60 pages in total with this eBook, and you can download it as soon as you pay for it. It breaks down into several sections covering different topics.
It starts off by talking about how to create your store and optimize it once ready. It then goes into how to research your products and spot winners. There’s a section about how to setup and analyze your Facebook ads, how to test products, and a few tips to scale them. The final section is actually cool, it’s access to a private supplier and fulfillment team that promises worldwide shipping between 8 and 10 days.
The last sections of the book include the access to the private group, where you can interact with other students and Winston himself and a free store review.
As you can see, it’s mostly an introduction to starting your dropshipping business. While it’ll give you a solid grasp on the topics it covers, you definitely need more content if you want to find success.
For example, you should learn about Google and Instagram as well, at least, plus there’s email marketing SEO, LinkedIn (for B2B), etc. All of those are paramount if you want to find success and do it efficiently, not spending money around until you hit the jackpot.
Final Verdict
For $30, I guess I can recommend this book only if it’s interesting to you and you can afford $30 on a basic introduction. However, if it’s actually an exclusive offer and the book is priced anywhere over that, then just stay away from it.
If you want to start off on the right foot, then get yourself eCom Elites. It’s one of the cheapest courses available at $197 ($297 for the premium plan), so if you can afford the full price for Dropshipping Simplified, you can definitely save up a bit more to get a course with over 200 videos covering hours and hours of content on all the steps and marketing approaches you need to succeed with eCommerce.
